FCS Research Challenge, an individual or team event, recognizes participants enrolled in Family and Consumer Sciences for their ability to create an original scientific experiment that relates to a provided topic of Family and Consumer Sciences. Participants must create a display and oral presentation.

All FCCLA members are required to wear official dress.
All other students, teachers and parents are required to dress in professional attire as defined below:
For Males – business suit with collared dress shirt and necktie; OR sport coat, dress pants, collared shirt and necktie; OR dress pants, collared shirt and necktie. All the above should be worn with dress shoes and socks.
For Females – Business suit or pantsuit; OR knee length skirt or dress slacks with blouse or sweater; OR tailored dress. All of the above should be worn with dress shoes, appropriate for walking.
NO JEANS, NO SHORT SKIRTS, NO LEGGINGS OR JEGGINGS for students or teachers.
