National Leadership Conference

Oklahoma has the opportunity for one student to be part of the national nominating committee, which helps nominate the National Executive Council. Members must be affiliated k-12 members currently in 11th or 12th grade (May 2024 graduates will not be considered). 

If chosen, you must attend:

• Nominating Committee Orientation Meeting May 14, 2024 6:00 p.m. Central
• Carefully and thoughtfully complete evaluation forms for National Officer Candidate applications by Wednesday, June 5.
• Nominating Committee Orientation, June 28, 2024  - 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
• National Officer Candidate Nominating Committee Interviews, June 28, 3:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
• National Officer Candidate Nominating Committee Interviews, June 29, 2024 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
• NOC Fishbowl on Saturday, June 29 at 10:30 AM
• Voting Delegate Orientation on Saturday, June 29, beginning at 2:00 PM.
• National Officer Candidate Nominating Committee Deliberations, June 30, 2024 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
• Top 20 National Officer Candidate speeches on Monday, July 1, beginning at 1:00 PM.

Oklahoma is anticipating having 12 voting delegates this summer. With major national bylaw amendments taking place, we need 12 dedicated and passionate members ready to serve as the voting delegates. 

If chosen, Oklahoma Voting Delegates must attend:

• Parliamentary Training – May 23, 2024 in Stillwater, OK 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. (lunch provided)
• Voting Delegate Orientation – June 29, 2024 2:00 – 3:00 p.m.
• Voting Delegate Check-in – June 30, 6:3- a.m. – 7:00 a.m.
• Business Session June 30, 7:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
• National Officer Candidate Networking, July 1, 8:30 – 10:30 a.m.
• National Officer Candidate Speeches, July 1, 12:30 p.m. – 3:15 p.m.
• Oklahoma State Meeting – July 1, 4:00 p.m. – 4:45 p.m.
• National Election – July 1, 4:30 p.m. – 6:15 p.m.
