Have a great Summer!
FCCLA has made a concentrated effort to illustrate the connection of FCCLA and Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) to Career Clusters. FCCLA most directly supports Career Clusters in Arts and Design, Hospitality and Tourism, Financial Services, Education and Training, Human Services, and Public Service.
FCCLA National Programs and Competitive Events support CTE students’ development of knowledge and skills, enhancing the classroom experience and Career Cluster initiatives. FCCLA is integrated into FCS and is intra-curricular, providing students with opportunities for work-based learning, business and industry networks, and industry-recognized certifications.
FCCLA Members explore career opportunities and build career and life ready skills by developing projects, engaging in leadership experiences, and competing for scholarships and awards at regional, state, and national levels. Through FCCLA’s six Career Clusters, members gain essential skills that prepare them for college, careers, and leadership roles. These skills include technical expertise, academic knowledge, and broad career-readiness abilities.
Go For the Red and share your positive FCCLA experience with your friends! Go For the Red, FCCLA’s annual membership campaign, provides incentives for members and chapters working to increase membership. Go For the Red empowers students to recruit, retain, and recognize members. Get started with a few of these great ideas!
