The Oklahoma FCCLA Meat Cookoff, an individual event, recognizes participants enrolled in Family and Consumer Sciences for their ability to create an original recipe that showcases Made in Oklahoma Coalition food products and prepare the dish.
Objectives of this Competition:
1. Develop employment skills for students interested in exploring or pursuing career opportunities in the culinary industry.
2. Participants will demonstrate their knowledge of food science, nutrition, food preparation and safety.
3. Develop analytical skills, critical thinking strategies and understanding of appropriate meat cookery.
